Dr. David Suzuki is an award-winning scientist, environmentalist, Professor Emeritus at the University of British Columbia and co-founder of David Suzuki Foundation.
On World Water Day, TerraCycle officially launched PUR® in Canada and Dr. David Suzuki was invited to speak at the event. An event that started with a light breakfast for the guests quickly shifted to some photo-ops with the Dr. David Suzuki. Then things got serious -I guess it is safe to say most people were there mostly to hear Dr. David Suzuki speak.
He started off by saying, “What I want to do today is look at water in a way that I hope will intrigue you”. He touched on a lot of key issues like the importance of water, our responsibilities to the environment and how the dramatic change the world has seen today contributes to the way we see nature.
TerraCycle discussed its corporate and environmental business partnership with PUR® while Mr. Michael Mitchell from PUR® was there to discuss the next generation of pitcher and faucet filtration systems certified to remove 99% of lead.
During the Q&A session, a couple of questions were asked. One was directed to Mr. Michael Mitchell to clarify if accessibility to clean water is a privilege of the rich. We were curious to hear his response (Watch it below).
Dr. David Suzuki was asked about the claim, science is now able to solidify hydrogen and what it means for our existence on earth. His answer was quite interesting. Watch below.
